N2 Player has lots of capabilities that are a little obscure, but still very useful. Here are some questions & answers that you may have related to how N2 Player works:

1. HOW CAN I DISTRIBUTE MY N2 PRESENTATION?

The N2 Creator Authoring Wizard currently allows you to publish N2 presentations on CD or DVD, as an EXE file, or as a network presentation.

2. HOW DO I LET USERS INSTALL MY PRESENTATION?

N2 Player has an integrated installation routine called 'N2Setup' that can either be run from a button or in your playlist. It can be added to your presentation easily in steps 5 & 8 of N2 Creator. This feature will install all content included in the presentation.

3. HOW DO I ENABLE MY PRESENTATION TO RUN ON A NETWORK?

You can enable your presentation to run on any PC network simply by purchasing a network registration code from Altiscape, and then running the 'Create Network Presentation' on N2 Creator's publishing tab. You will need to know the network address (drive) where you want it copied to.

4. HOW DO I MAKE MY PRESENTATION AUTO-INSTALL ON A PC NETWORK?

N2 Player has a built-in routine that lets businesses create presentations that can auto-install themselves on a PC network. The 'N2NetCopy' dialog box can be added easily in steps 5 & 8 of N2 Creator. The routine will copy the entire presentation to a network drive, and create a network shortcut to the presentation that can be emailed to network users. You must have a network registration code for this feature to work (see number 3 above).

5. WHAT IS AND HOW DO I MAKE A SUPER-PLAYLIST?

'Super Playlists' are content provider playlists that are linked or 'daisy chained' together. N2 Creator lets you specify the content providers that you want to link together directly in step 5. Simply add the name of the content provider you want to play next by clicking on 'Change Provider' and adding it as the last item in each playlist that you want to include.

6. HOW DO I MAKE MY PRESENTATION RUN CONTINUOUSLY IN A LOOP?

To make your playlist continuously in a loop simply follow the instruction in number 4 above. Then then on the last content provider in your presentation, enter the name of the first content provider as the last item in its playlist.
